family heritage stories involving a group of cousins that team up with some of
their deceased When a group of cousins meet at a family reunion at an old homestead inherited by Amelia's father, they meet Emma, who leads them first to an old treehouse where they find curious carvings, then to the farmhouse attic where they discover a fascinating old trunk belonging to one of their grandmothers, which was filled with intriguing mementos, photographs, antique toys, old clothes and journals. After reading through one of the journals in the old treehouse, they experience a celestial adventure with some of their ancestors that bonds each one of them forever. Upon returning home they experience their own heritage adventures where they journey back in time to witness their ancestors' adventures, and at the next year's summer reunion, they share their stories with each other. Upon reading more of the journals, they soon realize that Emma was the owner of the old trunk and responsible for motivating them to learn more about their ancesters. They also realize that for some of them, their own talents, gifts and desires are heavenly intertwined with those of their ancestors. |
